Children’s Centres are at the heart of the Government’s Every Child Matters: Change for Children Programme. By 2010 there will 3,500 Children’s Centres across the Country – one for every community.
In Bedfordshire, every community will have access to Children’s Centre services by 2010. Services already available in Children’s Centres include:
- Advice and information
- Child and family health services
- Early years provision
- Family support and outreach
- Links with job Centre Plus
- Parental involvement
Christian Family Care is a Bedfordshire-based organisation that can trace its roots back over a century to the reforming social care movement of the 19th century. Today it provides a wide range of front-line services in partnership with a variety of statutory, voluntary, community and health agencies.
